Dr. Jordi Monés, honoured speaker at the fourth edition of the COPHy
One of the principal global ophthalmology conferences will be held during the first week of April, with Dr. Monés, Medical Director of the Barcelona Macula Foundation and the Institut de la Màcula, participating as speaker.
The fourth edition of the World Congress on Controversies in Ophthalmology (COPHy) will be held in Budapest on 4-7 April after having drawn over 2,000 participants from almost 60 countries for the previous events in Prague, Barcelona and Istanbul. This year's Congress in the Hungarian capital will concentrate its scientific programme on the retina and glaucoma, in accordance with the comments received from experts who attended the previous editions.
Currently, the COPHy Congress is one of the leading global scientific think tanks and gathers international experts to share and discuss experiences stemming from the principal controversies in ophthalmology. The aim is to discover new lines of treatment to be subsequently developed in daily medical practice.
Dr. Monés's talk will be based on diabetic macular edema, in which he will stress the advantages of treatment with ANTI-VEGF. The Director of the Institut de la Màcula will also give a talk on the advantages of the Fusion Regimen© or combination therapy in comparison to fixed for the treatment of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD).
