MANTRA: evaluation of the association between retinal sensitivity and retinal fluid in AMD

DESCRIPTION

Prospective multicenter observational study to evaluate the association between retinal sensitivity and retinal fluid in age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Objectives

The aim of the present study is to evaluate the relationship between retinal sensitivity measured with MAIA microperimetry and coexisting retinal fluid measured with Spectralis OCT in patients with macular degeneration who are candidates for anti-VEGF treatments according to clinical practice.

Population

Age ≥ 50 years.
Diagnosis of bilateral or unilateral AMD.
Best corrected visual acuity ≥ 20/63.
Presence of predominantly active type I lesion.
No prior anti-VEGF treatment received.

Duration

Els pacients se seguiran durant 18 mesos.
