Over the years, we have established ourselves as an internationally renowned reference center for the treatment of retina-related diseases, thanks to the leadership of Dr. Jordi Monés MD, PhD. The director of the Institut de la Màcula is considered one of the world’s leading experts in geographic atrophy, the most aggressive form of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). He also ranks among the top European specialists in exudative AMD.
