The team of optometrists at the Macula Institute has presented two posters at the 2024 Congress on research carried out at home. The 28th Congress of Optometry, Contactology and Ophthalmic Optics has brought together nearly 1,300 participants in Madrid, most of them opticians-optometrists, considered one of the most important scientific-professional meetings in Europe.
Cristina Romero, Dani Garcia and Míriam Garcia Planas have brought to the Congress the posters “Late-onset macular dystrophy” and “Impact of type I choroidal neovascularization on the progression of geographic atrophy: multimodal imaging approach”.
OPTOM 2024 has addressed, among others, aspects related to basic research, the latest advances in intraocular lenses and myopia control and also the updating of optometric protocols.
