Pachymetry

Corneal thickness is measured using pachymetry.

Intraocular pressure measurement depends on corneal thickness. Patients with thicker-than-normal corneas tend to have higher intraocular pressure readings than actual, while those with thinner-than-average corneas tend to have lower readings than actual.
